PONTA DELGADA, ST. MIGUEL, AZORES: John M. Pacheco, 51, died unexpectedly, Monday, November 27, 2018 at his residence. He was the son of Jose F. Pacheco and Adelina (Moniz) Pacheco.

John was born in Achadinha, St. Miguel. Azores, immigrated to the United States in 1968 at the age of 1 year old, where he resided in New Bedford and attended Public Schools having graduated from Greater New Bedford Vocational Technical High School.
John was a skilled tradesman, working as a carpenter in the construction industry until 2013, when he relocated to St. Miguel.

Survivors include his parents of New Bedford, his son Emmanuel Pacheco of New Bedford, a brother Jose M. Pacheco and his wife Esmeralda of Dartmouth, a nephew Kyle Pacheco, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, December 09, 2018 from 2 to 5 PM at the Cabral Baylies Square-Lamoureux Funeral Home, 512 No. Front Street, New Bedford. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Monday at 8 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle Street, New Bedford. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery.
