NEW BEDFORD: Edward Therrien 89, of New  Bedford, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2019  surrounded by his loving  family. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen Norton. He was the loving son of  Zephrin Therrien and Anne Braman.

Beloved father to Dona Power, Shane Therrien and the late Shaun Norton and Duane Therrien, all from New Bedford.
He was the dear brother of the late Herbert "Dutchie"  Therrien, Paul Therrien and sister Thelma Soucy. He also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was born in New Bedford and worked in the area as a cashier at Elm Street Garage, and later retired from the City of New Bedford.

He enjoyed family, friends and laugher . He will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 9 AM in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 121 Mount Pleasant Street, New Bedford. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, New Bedford.
Arrangements are by the Cabral Baylies Square-Lamoureux Funeral Home, 512 No. Front Street, New Bedford.
