BOSTON: Aldineza (Benfeito) da Camara, 85, passed away at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, on Saturday, March 21, 2020, after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Manuel M. da Camara, whom passed away in December 20, 2017.
She was born in Fenais D'Ajuda, St. Miguel, Azores to the late Antonio L. Benfeito and Maria V. (de Jesus) Benfeito. A communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, formerly employed at Knapp Shoes as a stitcher, until her retirement. Mrs. da Camara loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by a son Laudalino "Lino" Camara and his wife Louise of New Bedford, a daughter Natalie M. Rainville and her husband Raymond of Dartmouth, a brother Humberto Benfeito of Canada, two sisters Herondina Furtado and Urania Andrade and her husband Jeremias both of New Bedford. Also survived by four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current restrictions, her visitation, Funeral Mass, and burial will be private for immediate family. A public Memorial Mass will be held at the later date.
