NEW BEDFORD: Antonio T De Frias 86 of New Bedford died peacefully at St Lukes Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Celeste M De Frias. Son of Mariano and Maria De Gloria Tavares Frias
Born in Achadinha, Nordeste, St. Miguel, Azores, residing in New Bedford since 1967. A communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Mr. De Frias was a master carpenter and worked for a few companies until his retirement.
Survivors include two daughters Maria Gabriela Ataya and her husband Ramzi of Lebanon, Elizabeth Soule and her husband Paul of New Bedford, two sons Victor M. De Frias and his wife Liliana of Wesport, Antonio M. De Frias and his wife Diane of Stoughton, MA.
He was the brother of the late Mariano, Manuel, Jose, John, Maria de Anjos, Maria de Rosa, Rosa Maria, Jacinta.
Also survived by six grandchildren Alexandra, Toufic, Yamen, Alexander, Amanda, Matthew five great grandchildren Michael, Mateo, Emma, Dylan, Yazan.
Visiting hours omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Thursday at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle Street, New Bedford.
