Obituary
NEW BEDFORD; Cezaltina (Torres) Rebelo, 91, passed away on Monday, August 08, 2022 at Sacred Heart Home, after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late James Costa Rebelo.
She was born in Achadinha, Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores to the late Manuel J. Torres and Maria da Gloria (Amaral) Torres. Formerly employed at St. Luke's Hospital as a Housekeeper, until her retirement.
It is with deep sorrow and much love, that we mourn the passing of our matriarch Cezaltina Torres Rebelo.
She is survived by two daughters Maria F. Medeiros and her husband David, Gloria R. Vieira and her husband Paulo, both of New Bedford, two brothers Norberto M. Torres, Artur Torres both of New Bedford, a sister Maria A. Garcia of Dartmouth, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Manuel G. Rebelo and sister of the late Isaura Pacheco.
Visiting hours will be Friday, August 12, 2022 from 6 to 8 PM at the Cabral Baylies Square-Lamoureux Funeral Home, 512 No. Front Street, New Bedford. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Saturday at 10:15 AM at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle Street, New Bedford. Interment at St. John Cemetery.
