Daniel M. Flor

Daniel Moniz Flor, 86, of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Saint Luke's Hospital.  He was the husband of Maria Flor whom they just shared 63 years of marriage.  Mr. Flor was born on Sao Miguel, Azores and moved to New Bedford in 1966.  He built his life with his beloved wife and children.  He was the son of the late Jose and Constantina Flor.

Mr. Flor worked at Chamberlain Mfg., Foleys Fish House, Polaroid and he was also a landscaper.  He was a strong and hard worker that wasn't afraid to take up any job that he had to do.

In addition to his beloved wife Maria he is survived by his loving daughters and sons; Manuela Meneses and her husband Isaac, Diana DaPonte and her husband Bobby, Tony Flor and wife Rosa, Emanuel Flor and his companion Vikki Sousa all of New Bedford and Maria Bilodeau and her companion Sal of Cape Verde.  He was the loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews relatives and friends.  He was the brother of the late Lurdes Ferreira, Irene Raposa, Gilberto Flor and Almerinda Mello.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Cabral Baylies Square Funeral Home, 512 North Front Street, New Bedford, MA 02746.  His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, 10:00 AM in St. Anthony of Padua 1359 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford, MA 02746.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.  Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
