Frances (Nunes) Ferro
Obituary
NEW BEDFORD; Frances (Nunes) Ferro, 100, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Gilbert B. Ferro.
Born in Dartmouth, Ma, to the late Manuel Nunes and Francisca (Rodrigues) Nunes. She was self-employed as a hairdresser for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of her Parish.
She is survived by a son Gilbert B. Ferro and his wife Angela of South Dartmouth, a granddaughter Julie Morais and her husband David of North Carolina, three great- grandchildren Gabriella, Nathan and Elijah, all of North Carolina, many nieces and nephews.
Her visiting hours will be Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, from 2 to 4 PM at the Cabral Baylies Square-Lamoureux Funeral Home, 512 No. Front Street, New Bedford. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Monday at 9:45 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 47 South Sixth Street, New Bedford. Interment at St. John Cemetery.
