Maria Pacheco (de Medeiros) Borges

NEW BEDFORD: Maria Pacheco (de Medeiros) Borges, 90, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Manuel N. Borges.

She was born in St. Miguel, Azores to the late Francisco T. Pacheco and Ludovina A. (Medeiros) Pacheco, formerly employed as an Assembler to Capacitor Industries until her retirement. She is survived by six sons: Francisco, Armindo, Antonio, Diniz P. Borges, all of Canada, Daniel P. Borges of Providence, and Jose P. Borges of Dartmouth, two daughters Arminda Alves and Maria Borges both of New Bedford. Also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and one great-great-granddaughter.

Her visiting hours will be Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 5 to 7 PM, at the Cabral Baylies Square Funeral Home, 512 No Front Street. New Bedford. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Monday at 11 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle Street, New Bedford. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery.
