NEW BEDFORD: Rose (Caldwell) Cabral, 81, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital, on Thursday, July 16, 2020, after a period of declining health. She was the wife of 46 years to Ronald R. Cabral.
She was born in Logansport, Indiana to the late Robert Caldwell and Louise (Allen) Caldwell. Formerly employed at New Bedford Airport as a Secretary until her retirement, she was an Eucharist Minister, member of St. Vincent de Paul Society and Ladies Guild of her Parish Our Lady of Fatima Church.
She is survived by a loving husband Ronald R. Cabral of New Bedford, a daughter Michelle Gray Theodore of Walpole, MA, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Kimberly Ann Gray and Steven Gray, sister of the late Bonnie Weser. The family wants to thank the visiting nurse Nichole Frakes and the physical therapist Louis "Buster" Fortes, for their work and dedication to Rose.
Visiting hours will be Monday, July 20, 2020, from 5 to 8 PM, due to the restrictions of Covid-19 the amount of people is limited to ten (10) at each time, and every one have to wear a face-mask.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 21 at 10 AM at St. Mary Church, 343 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford. All are welcome to attend , however due to current restrictions the amount of people is limited to 100 in the church at one time.
Rose will be Entombed at Notre Dame Cemetery, 1540 Stafford Road, Fall River.
